The newly completed Ault Park playground in Cincinnati represents a thoughtful reinvestment in one of the city’s most iconic parks, enhancing both play value and community connection. Developed through a collaborative effort between Cincinnati Parks, community partners, donors, and the Ault Park Advisory Council, the project replaces an aging play area with a modern, multi-generational destination designed for children and teens alike.
The new playground emphasizes inclusive, accessible design with improved surfacing, interactive play elements, and equipment that supports a wide range of abilities and play styles. Integrated within the park’s natural landscape, the design preserves Ault Park’s mature tree canopy while introducing refreshed spaces that encourage exploration, social interaction, and active play for all ages.
Now open to the public, the playground has quickly become a vibrant community asset—supporting everyday recreation, strengthening neighborhood identity, and reinforcing Ault Park’s role as one of Cincinnati’s most beloved green spaces.
The park now also has brand new fitness equipment that is free to use!
